Ian and I have been dance partners since 1976 and have been through the International Dance Teachers Association( IDTA) medal test system taking exams in Ballroom, Latin American, Classical Sequence, Freestyle, Rock & Roll and Line Dancing

We both qualified as dance teachers in 1987 with the IDTA after been trained by the Late Jacqueline Roberts and in later years Yvonne Saunders.

Once qualified we went on to teach for The Court School Of Dancing and Jacqueline Roberts School of Dancing and were both former members of the IDTA South East Area committee

We changed from dance partners to life long partners when we married in 1991.

In January 1987 we opened The Aniani School Of Dancing (a combination of both our names and this will always be a legacy to Anita's late father who came up with the name)

Over the years we have trained all ages in different genres through the IDTA medallist system along with Professional training of pupils who have gone on to be teachers in their own right

Anita's life long ambition came true in December 2015 when she was appointed an Examiner of the Ballroom branch within the I.D.T.A and is so happy to be able to pass on her knowledge and experience to others.

Anita was honoured to be awarded the John Knight Award for Fellowship of the Year for Classical Sequence in 2019
